The Valley Community SBDC was recognized as the “Small Business Development Center of the Year 2025” by the SBA Fresno District. Our co-founders serve as independent advisors and consultants within that ecosystem— helping entrepreneurs with business strategy, AI-powered operations, and grant writing and funding readiness support.

In practice, that means we sit where founders actually make decisions: refining business models, pressure-testing financial assumptions, reviewing lender packages, and building AI workflow automation for small businesses so owners can buy back time without losing the human touch.

Proud to be part of this team. No government endorsement implied.

  • Startup and growth strategy for Main Street and online businesses
  • Funding readiness for banks, CDFIs, and alternative lenders
  • AI workflow automation to streamline admin, marketing, and client delivery
  • Grant and capital access support in partnership with local resource networks

We combine SBDC advisory experience with private consulting so founders get the best of both worlds: practical guidance and tailored execution.

Serving 5,000+ Families at Nipsey Hussle Square

In November 2025, we left Central California before sunrise and headed to Nipsey Hussle Square in South LA—the rebuilt home of The Marathon flagship. It was the first major community event held on that lot in six years.

Shoulder to shoulder with the Neighborhood Nip Foundation and Think Watts Foundation, we helped distribute over 5,000 turkeys plus groceries to local families—an activation covered by outlets like TMZ and other media as Nipsey’s former store became a site of service again.

For us, it wasn’t a photo-op. It was a family and legacy moment: loading boxes, greeting families, and showing the next generation that entrepreneurship and impact belong in the same sentence.

“Legacy is not what we say on social media—legacy is where we’re willing to stand.”

Staying Close to Capital, Education & Ecosystems

Better Business Bureau Growth Surge Bootcamp

At the BBB Growth Surge Bootcamp, we showed up as both learners and collaborators— staying plugged into the tools and conversations that matter for founders in our region.

  • Emotional well-being for entrepreneurs—avoiding burnout while you scale
  • Communicating your brand in a way customers actually remember
  • Mastering website SEO so people can find you when it matters
  • Beyond the pitch: business financing 101 and realistic capital options
  • “Don’t do it alone,” “Brand in a Box,” and practical SWOT analysis for small teams

The program also included a $1,000 GoDaddy grant for business operations. We track opportunities like these so our clients can tap them in the future.

Access Plus Capital 17th Anniversary & Capital Access

Access Plus Capital is a key community lender and capital partner for small businesses in our region. At their 17th Anniversary Celebration, we connected with decision-makers who help founders move from “not ready yet” to “approved.”

Our role in rooms like this is simple: listen, learn, and bring those insights back to the way we prepare clients for lenders, grantors, and investors. When we know what capital partners are looking for, we can help you show up ready.

When Founders Win, Communities Win

Our favorite part of this work is watching founders hire, serve, and reinvest in their communities— whether that’s a trucking company taking its first loads or a creative studio raising its rates with confidence.

EJ Mallet — Trucking Founder

Saved $20K in taxes, cut $500/month in expenses, and built real business credit that supports long-term growth.

“They helped me clean up my structure, line up loads, and make sure my money was working for me—not the other way around.”

Darryl Kelly — Photographer

$50K+ in revenue in six months and raised his rates while landing national features and higher-value clients.

“We rebuilt my offers and pricing so I could stop undercharging—and start building the life I actually wanted.”

Ryan Meyer — Producer & Label Owner

Saved $30K+ in taxes, kept ownership of his masters, and launched a label with Empire—while protecting his long-term wealth.

“They helped me move like a business, not just an artist—so my work can feed my family and my future.”

Individual results vary. These stories reflect each client’s experience with strategy, structure, and follow-through.
